Isolated stem cells and their potential application in veterinary medicine


IAS cooperates with leading veterinary clinics carrying out research on the use of animal different populations of stem cells obtained from selected organs and tissues. Isolated cells are checked in terms of biosafety, progenitor potential and the potential for differentiation. The stem cells obtained from animals and strictly selected stem cells are then banked or differentiated. We are able to carry out standard processes of cell differentiation and an advanced transdifferentiation scheme. All results obtained by our scientists are characterized by high repeatability. Our team consists of doctors, biologists, biotechnologists and bioengineers. The techniques we use include 2D and 3D primary cell cultures, 3D scaffolds culture, insert cultures interaction analysis, primary cell cultures immortalisation, expression microarrays, RT-qPCR and mass spectrometry. The main goal of our employees is conducting, stabilisation, immortalisation and banking of stem cell cultures. If desired we can differentiate pluripotent progenitors, as well as transdifferentiate specialised lineages, into particular required cell types. The cells obtained in that mechanism or the observed processes can be, with success, used in advanced regenerative and reconstructive medicine.
